Hey all!
How would I spend a sunny afternoon in Oslo, Norway? By celebrating with a hoard of Irish, that’s how!
I was just taking some pictures in the central square and suddenly Scottish, Welsh, Irish, English all started to gather, loads waving Irish flags and the sound of bagpipes filled the square. A crowd of Norwegians started to form, onlooking at the strange music and attire, it almost seemed like there was a huge rugby international going on!
I got talking with some very nice people from Ireland, and they told me that there are alot of Irish in Oslo, and that the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are an annual event in the city. I accepted an invite to march in the parade with all the Irish, it was a great atmosphere and a really great day for it, the sun was shining, almost like a summer’s day!
We all gathered at the end of the parade outside the city hall, for a speech and Irish dancing and music, and well wishes to the Irish national rugby team! This was followed by another parade…straight to the pub, The Dubliner!

After a pint of Guiness, I headed on down to the waterfront, shot a couple of films and made the most of the blazing sun while sitting next the fjord, just a great day today, so unplanned but yet everything has just been alot of fun today!
